Here's my summary of it.

The movie centers on a girl, Mei Takemiya.Having just lost her childhood crush to her older sister,Mei seeks comfort from her sidekicks.Little did she know,she came to realize that a classmate of hers, Atsushi Nishino is a boy she'd encountered in her childhood past,Atsushi. (Also,Mei was Atsushi's first crush ever then.) They'd shared the same history.That,he's accidentally bumped into her (in a bike) in front of the cake shop on her birthdays.THEIR birthdays actually.They had the same birthdays,February 29,which only comes once in every four years.
Atsushi kissed her one night,and they both fell in love with each other.However,there was a dark truth behind their family ties,and they were both forced apart.Then,many turns of unfortunate events happened around her when atsushi wasnt at her side.The loss of a friend(memory loss lar..) ,the death of a boy who loves her so dearly, and her another best friend became a drug addict.According to Mei's mum(Well,step-mum),they couldn't tie fate to one another. On their sixteenth birthday,they met at the front of where they'd first met.Mei wished Atsushi a 'Happy Birthday'.He hugged her.Then they said their sorrowful goodbyes.And went their own seperate ways.

Hmm....as for my favourite actress in there..its not Mei tho'.It'd be Sara,her friend.
She's a quiet,super shy girl with glasses and looks like an otaku.However,at the school's anniversary,as if possesed, she rocked like crazy,together with the other girls.The gothic lolitas.
Too bad she had to leave the school,as she'd suffered from a memory loss.She tried to committ suicide by jumping off the building when she found out her best friend,Mei spent time with her crush ,Taka.(Flashback: Mei wished Sara luck on the previous night after Sara confesses that she likes Taka) Oh hell,it was really all but a misunderstanding! It was Taka who trailed Mei,and got onto the same train! Hell...it really broke my heart man..I really liked Sara.

I wonder if they'd be together in the next movie.
